first_img Top Stories 0 Comments   Share   Derrick Hall satisfied with D-backs’ buying and selling Rookie wide receiver Walt Powell survived Saturday’s league-mandated deadline, but unfortunately the sixth-round pick out of Murray State did not make it through the weekend.The Arizona Cardinals announced Sunday that they released the St. Louis, Mo. native after being awarded a waiver claim on outside linebacker Thomas Keiser.Powell caught six passes for 106 yards during the preseason, including a 45-yard reception against the Houston Texans.
