He originally began his time at the university by calling baseball games. In 2003, Rod made the switch to start broadcasting football and basketball games. Current and former players have expressed their love for the Bramblett family with kind words on social media. As for the rest of the community, the current goal is to raise enough money to help Rod and Paula’s children. The couple has two kids, Shelby and Joshua. In light of these untimely deaths, hundreds of people are coming to the aid of the family by donating money on GoFundMe.Apple CEO Tim Cook appeared to donate $25,000 to help out the Bramblett children. Cook also expressed his appreciation for Rod and their connection at Auburn. The total fundraiser is sitting at roughly $190,000.It’s possible it could be any other Tim Cook. But, at face value, it looks like Apple CEO @tim_cook donated $25,000 to the Bramblett fundraiser, which is nearing $200,000. https://t.co/vXG8mmDQlo pic.twitter.com/jgfPlpOLmf— Brandon Marcello (@bmarcello) May 28, 2019The hope is that people can raise a sufficient amount to help Shelby and Joshua with their education and other life expenses. Shelby is a sophomore at Auburn, whereas Joshua is finishing his first year in high school. My heart is heavy today as our Auburn family mourns the loss of Rod and his wife Paula. Rod’s excitement was contagious and his voice will always be part of Auburn’s memories. I will never forget him.— Tim Cook (@tim_cook) May 26, 2019Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bramblett family. You can donate to the fundraiser here.last_img read more
